Water color
My piece was inspired by nature an happiness and i love to see the sunset while the birds are just flying away in the sky ,an the grass hitting the wind an everything is moving around me even the cool blue water. and I love to look out and see the wood lines in the distance.
I used another sheet a paper to map out what i wanted to paint an i added what i like to see when the sun comes up just in the middle of the sky and the water just sitting still while the bridge just tops it all off. I used the thin brush to go over with my Bridge and water an for details i used my very thin brush to go over the an the dead tree and the live wood lines.
My piece was inspired by my calmness an stress relief an want i like to do when i wanna be chill an laid back.
My goal as in a artist was to learn how to paint an to create my picture to look realistic an up close an i think i kinda achieve my goal first try wasn't so bad at all.
I learned that when u start to paint u can't rush into it because the color will not come out right i kinda glad that i knew how to start it off an map everything like i wanted it detailing is a little hard but i got right through it.
Title: Keys
My art piece portrays a set of keys. It has jagged edges and key rings. It is kind of a far back view of the keys. My piece represents keys and how they are always just laying around. An important element of this project to me would be the shape to define what they piece is. The amount of value is also important to help give off different aspects of light source.
This piece was created by using a sharpie pen because the goal was to use ink. I tried out different objects and could not seem to get them right so then I mapped out 4 different sketches of the keys and decided to finish through. I used stippling and many contour lines as well as a few cross hatches to help form a more 3-D like image.
Skeleton keys have always been really odd looking to me because they are not just like a regular set of car keys. The way that the keys look inspired me to draw them. My work is to just simply show a different kind of key shape.
My goal for this piece was to make it realistic and to challenge myself. I feel like I did not meet my goal. Never drawing a key in my life or much of anything I feel as if I did alright. There is always room for improvement and i hope to develop better skills.
During this piece i learned about value , different textures, light source , and how to apply cross contour lines. I learned that if you add more cross contour lines to a outlined part you will get a more 3-D look. My final piece looks somewhat what I imagined , work is definitely needed but what I have learned will be applied i future pieces.Adding more color in the piece altogether would be really cool.
Oil Pastel
This piece shows a cow with its mouth/nose turned and up close. The neck and the top of the head are further back as well as the ears. The element that you can clearly see is pencil and shading. I used different shades to help the view make out where the fur would be and the eyes. For example I used very light shades for the fur and a dark shade for the eye.
This piece was created using different pencil shading. I used at least two techniques creating this piece because of not knowing how to properly use the pencil shading. I took light shaded pencils over light shaded areas to kind of layer where darker areas would be so that I wouldn't make it too dark.
My inspiration for this project was to find something I could work different shades on and to get a good foreshortening piece. My work was meant to demonstrate a cow turning its head as you can tell by the way the neck is drown and shaded with different variety of grey.
My goal for this project was to learn how to work with different views and different shades so that it would look like a real foreshortening. Pencils smear really easy so I had to make sure my piece didn't just look smudged all around. I think that I could get better at adding more shading and to perfect where the highlights would be. I feel that my piece could be more realistic.
Overall I feel as if my foreshortening piece met all the right criteria. It looks like it is realistic. though, I could learn how to improve on making it look even more real. I think that I will try using pencil again because I would love to perfect the media.
My sculpture looks really excited it has a big belly indicating that it is pregnant. The title of my work does not have a name that i gave to it personally but it is "the Lono tiki." The most obvious principle is the smile and the deep eyes.
My art piece is made of clay. I started out with a mist slab of clay and learned different techniques to perfect my sculpture. I used slip to stick pieces together that i had to stick to my sculpture. i used a wooden spoon to help hold my piece up right what adding details so i would not press in on the clay.
My art work expresses a personal issue. My art work expresses the joy of being pregnant or expecting. I tried to show a happy mother who is ready to have a child. Full of joy and excitement.
My goal was to learn the clay process and how to apply different details using different materials. This piece help me reach my goals as an artist because I need to continue to learn how to use new medias and whats involved in doing so.
During this project I learned about the lono tiki god and the things involved with it like peace, water, and happiness. My final piece is what i imagined it would be, actually a little better then i intended because of how well the details came out. This piece will influence my future artwork because I enjoyed working with the media. I will look into using this media again.
